Young Sheffield United midfielder Harvey Gilmour joined Tranmere on a trial basis in July 2018.
He played half an hour in a pre-season friendly against 2017-18 Champions League finalists Liverpool, helping Rovers win the second half 2-0 to secure a narrow 3-2 defeat.
By all accounts, Harvey impressed, and he was signed on a loan deal until January 2019 on 13th July 2018. He performed well, winning the EFL Young Player of the Month award for October 2018.
Such was his impact that he signed for Tranmere permanently on 7th January 2019 on a contract that runs until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
In total, Harvey represented Rovers 33 times in 2018-19, including both legs of the semi-finals as Tranmere went on to win the 2018-19 League Two Play-offs and return to League One after a 5-year absence.
Interesting Fact: Harvey was signed after a short trial at Prenton Park.
