Birmingham-born Kane Wilson joined the youth setup at West Bromwich Albion in 2007. He has been at the Hawthorns ever since, progressing through the age groups before making his competitive senior debut in the EFL Cup match with Northampton Town on 23rd August 2016.
Kane also made appearances for the England Under-16 and Under-17 sides during this time.
In 2017-18, Wilson joined League Two Exeter City on loan, making a 22-appearance and 1-goal contribution as the Grecians reached the 2018 League Two play-off final.
The following season, Kane would make a 20-appearance loan move to League One Walsall, before rejoining Exeter for they second half of the 2018-19 season, making a further 17 appearances.
His performances at St James Park took him past the 50 appearance barrier and he returned to West Brom having gained an excellent amount of experience across the season.
To continue his progression, Tranmere manager Micky Mellon signed Kane on loan for Rovers' return to League One, completing the temporary move on 9th August 2019. Wilson would make his Tranmere debut the following day in a 2-0 defeat against Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Interesting Fact: Kane was born on 11th March 2000 — 13 days after Tranmere's League Cup final defeat to Leicester City (2000 was a leap year)!
